System Administration - AIX Power Server
Skills Set required:
- System Administration of IBM AIX Power Server, LPARs, VIOS, NIM with AIX certification
- AIX native LVM, Systems Partitioning, VGs, APV, VIO, HACMP Clustering and GPFS/CFS/CVG, RAC etc.
- Server agents, clusters, storage connectivity, its Networking, and supporting large enterprise hosting critical apps and oracle clustered databases
- Server Hardware Management of physical servers, virtual interfaces, and Virtual infrastructures
- Access Management, System Monitoring, 24x7 operations support, and shell/Perl Scripting/Automation
- System Health checks, capacity reviews, maintenance, data collection, analysis, reporting, and fine-tuning.
- Represent the team in multiple cross-functional forums on technical discussions
- CVE and patch Assessment, Server Patching, security hardening, and vulnerability analysis and fixes
- Advanced logs analysis along with tracing/debugging and working with support vendors.
- mgmt., Issue and problem analysis, Enhancements and documentations
- Managing systems in Public, Private, and on-premises cloud technologies
- Build, configure & manage physical & virtual servers in VMware & RHEV environments, bash scripting automation will be considered an advantage
- Manage users and groups, Create and configure file systems and permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes in physical & VMware environments with SAN management and concepts
- Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
- Level-1 support skill set of Red hat Linux, cloud technologies, virtualizations, and willingness to learn, adapt and progress
- Excellent written & verbal communications, presentations, and documentations
- Identifies prospects to make technical improvements in the managed areas and related landscape. Implements technical initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications:
Minimum years of experience required 5 years with domain working experience.
Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
Banking experience is highly preferred.
